EAE: Revolutionizing Vehicle Lifting Machines

LKK Innovation Design Group's Innovative Approach to Enhancing User Experience and Efficiency

In the face of fierce competition, traditional industrial equipment production enterprises are seeking innovative breakthroughs to enhance their brand image and competitiveness. One such enterprise, EAE, has achieved this through the redesign of its two-section automobile lifting machine. The LKK Innovation Design Group, through extensive research and countless plan tests, has significantly improved the user operation experience and working efficiency of this machine. This article delves into the unique properties, realization technology, specifications, and interaction of this innovative design.

The EAE automobile lifting machine, designed by the LKK Innovation Design Group, stands out for its innovative and optimized lift experience. The design not only enhances product value through improved user experience and operational efficiency but also paves the way for an upgrade of the EAE brand image. This upgrade is expected to attract a large number of orders and guide other product development within the industry, thereby leading to industry-wide user experience upgrades.

The realization of this design involved the manufacture of lower range models and array pressed key models to simulate the custom use of service technicians. The research team also manufactured many plan models in proportion and invited users to participate in project evaluations. Through intermediate stage tests and later period tests, the team derived concrete solutions that cater to use demands even in extreme situations. The team also produced an array of solid texture models and conducted tests under two extremes: with mechanics having engine oil on their hands and wearing oil-impregnated gloves. This led to the production of the best textured anti-slip effect.

The design specifications of the EAE lifting machine have been meticulously crafted to optimize user experience. The lifting arm has been redesigned with an increased sign at the end, allowing technicians to easily observe the vehicle's bottom situation without having to aim their faces close to the ground. The top of the lift arm has been changed into a shape with a certain inclination, enabling technicians to efficiently move the lifting arm with their feet. The lift pallets have been enhanced with textures to increase friction and prevent oil skidding. The shape and arrangement of keys have been redefined, allowing technicians to clearly distinguish keys even in blind operation. Moreover, to ensure the safety of the operator and the maintenance of vehicles, a protection pad has been added to the bottom of the lift arm, and the shape of protectors has been changed to adapt to various car models.

The EAE lifting machine is centered around the specialized technician who operates the lifting machine. The design addresses issues and hidden dangers in operation experience, working efficiency, and safety protection, setting a new benchmark in the lifting machine industry. The design includes a convex mirror in the lifting arm terminal for easy observation of the vehicle's bottom situation, an increased inclination angle in the lifting arm top to accommodate the technician's custom of moving the lifting arm with the foot, a skid-resistant texture on the lifting tray, and a redesigned operation key to meet the user's blind operation demand.

This innovative design project began in November 2013 in China and was completed in May 2014. The project involved in-depth research with 12 automotive technicians, who provided valuable insights into the needs and pain points of maintenance technicians in operation. These findings were incorporated into the design solutions, guiding the product design work. The redesigned products have been showcased at exhibitions such as the Germany Frankfurt Automechanika aftermarket equipment, enhancing the corporate and brand image of the customer and gaining public recognition.

The EAE lifting machine design, which won the Golden A' Meta, Strategic and Service Design Award in 2015, is a testament to the prodigious and wise creations that advance art, science, design, and technology. It embodies extraordinary excellence and significantly impacts the world with its desirable characteristics. The design is a marvelous, outstanding, and trendsetting creation that reflects the designer's prodigy and wisdom.
